Sweet Baby Girl!

Some random pictures of Janie! We have our first post-adoption home visit later today. It feels so strange typing those words.....sometimes I still can't believe she is finally here!  Oh and you'll notice one of her STANDING in her crib-yep, that happened this week! I heard her waking from a nap and when I went in to get her, that is what I found!!!!!!

Janie went to meet her Aunt Charlene on Monday at work. It was her birthday and we surprised her....we also got to meet all the nice people she works with-they have been following our journey and were so excited to see Janie!

The shower on Tuesday went GREAT! Janie and I are so blessed to have so many people who love us. She got tons of diapers, wipes, outfits, bath-time stuff, books, etc. And, we got LOTS of gift cards which come in super handy.....we have already used a bunch of them! 

We are going to the region cheer competition tomorrow (Go Warriors) and then have another shower on Sunday-whew, what a weekend! 

A big congratulations to my friend April....she is traveling NEXT WEEK to go meet her baby boy. Her baby was Janie's roomie in Taiwan! Janie and I are sooooo happy for them! We plan to go visit him in December for his 1st birthday--I can't wait to see how they react to each other! You can follow their journey at:

SHOWERS!!

I'm so excited....getting ready for a shower today. The special ed. department at my school is hosting a shower today for me and Janie. We are so excited!!

And, on Sunday some of my former cheer moms are hosting a shower and have invited TONS of my former cheerleaders and their moms. Oh, I hope many of them are able to attend--it will be like a cheer reunion--and they will all get to meet JANIE!!!

Janie's Halloween Weekend!

Janie had a great Halloween weekend! It started off by going to Grandma and Grandpa's (which I think we have decided to call Mimi and Gramps). Janie played and had lots of fun there-like she always does. 

Then, she went to another cheerleading competition to cheer on her team! She also got to see more of mommy's coaching friends and meet new people!

Then it was time to go home and greet the trick-or-treaters. Janie helped give out candy this year--she will go out next year! 

On Sunday, Mimi went to church with Janie and mommy and then Mimi and Gramps played with me all afternoon!

More Janie Cuteness

Janie was sporting her pigtails again today so we decided a little photo shoot in the yard would be a good idea....

She was happy (for a while)....check out the unhappy face after mommy had taken a few too many pictures....

JANIE'S FIRST PIGTAILS! 

She was kind of wiggly while I was doing this new hairdo! Maybe next time it will look a little better! She doesn't mind me messing with her hair--she just kept wiggling away to play! What a cutie!!!

Almost crawling!

Janie is soooo close to crawling. She has been doing the "comando" style crawl and lots of scooting for several weeks now...but look what she did last night before bed! I'm so happy that she is developing so well, but kind of sad that she's growing so fast.....my little baby is going to really be on the go soon! And, I can tell I will be chasing her all around-she is going to be exploring EVERYTHING now! And what made her crawl you ask.....well it was the laptop! She loves, loves, loves to watch cheerleading competitions on the computer. She also loves to see videos of herself!
